Better connections in the ‘fourth’ valley

Val Thorens, France
Among the various improvements at Val Thorens this winter, there has been a reorganizing of access to and from the ‘fourth valley’.
The new Rosaël six-pack should ease the serious bottleneck to return to Val Thorens from the Orelle sector – referred to as the ‘fourth valley’ and incorporating the Three Valley’s highest lift-served terrain.
The lift is the first of two successive chairs that takes you back to the Col de Rosaël from Plan Bouchet, where slopes in this sector converge and the gondola arrives from Orelle itself.
The col has also been reworked to improve the return to Val Thorens, eliminating the short uphill plod between the top of the lift and the Chamois piste – which has also been reclassified from red to blue.
