Brit aims to break Ski World Record

Jamie Stephenson will begin his Ski World Record in Aviemore, Scotland
A British man will next month attempt to break the Ski World Record by skiing 20 different countries in 31 days to raise money for Disability Snowsport UK.
Jamie Stephenson, who works for the tour operator Ski Independence, must ski a full run in each country and the run must be officially open. He will be travelling alone, by car, over 6,500 miles from Scotland to Norway, via Croatia, Hungary and Poland as well as the more traditional skiing countries of France, Switzerland and Austria.
“I considered starting out in Oslo and finishing in Scotland, but I decided the snow will be more guaranteed in the Scandinavian countries,” said Jamie.
“Whatever the weather, it’s sure to be an experience I will never forget and something I am really looking forward to.”
Ski Independence is sponsoring Jamie through France, Switzerland and Austria. He hopes the record attempt will raise enough funds to purchase a sit ski for Disability Snowsport Scotland which will help hundreds of people to enjoy skiing.
Jamie will be recording a video blog during his record attempt, which can be viewed at ski-i.com/blog
