Chamonix has a new British-run ski school this winter, providing a choice of courses throughout the season.
Gravity Ski School is founded by Chris Fecher – a long-term resident of the resort and the first UK pro skier to gain the ISTD qualification (Level 4 international teaching diploma).
Along with a hand-picked team of fully qualified coaches, including Mikey Edwards a former Gap program instructor, Gravity aims to offer tuition tailored to suit the individual’s specific needs and ability level; using a wide range of teaching methods for confidence building and development on all sorts of terrain.
The school offers a good range of tuition on selected dates, from all mountain to guided ski touring – but they are specialists in off-piste development. Private lessons are also available.
Their five day piste performance course costs £525 for a group of six on 31 January.
