British Ski and Board Show

British Ski and Board 2009
This year’s British Ski and Board Show returns to Birmingham’s NEC from Friday 29 to Sunday 31 October 2010, giving visitors a chance to explore the world’s ski resorts from a venue close to home and to enjoy a fun day out.
All the resorts and more …
The annual event showcases resorts worldwide, with experts on hand to discuss holiday plans and to answer your queries. Most of the main (and many smaller) Alpine and North American resorts will be represented, along with some truly exotic destinations – such as India. Holiday companies, tour operators and independent owners will offer exclusive show deals with over 150 exhibitors previewing the latest fashions, trends and innovations. There will be new product launches, as well as all equipment from leading manufacturers such as new skis, boards, boots and bindings, etc. So, you can get your hands on some great new gear – perhaps at a special show price too.
Active or passive?
You’ll be able to brush up your skills on the indoor slope, grab a pick and have a go at ice-climbing (not real ice though!), and watch the pros soar into action in the Big Air Freestyle displays. Or sit back and listen to the various talks and workshops planned for the Talk Theatre – such as Henry’s Avalanche Talks, or how to get the best results from your ski boots. And the organisers are also planning to launch a new Winter Film Festival, which will premiere the latest skiing and snowboarding movies and documentaries. If you’re planning to head off to the snow for a season, there will be advice on hand for getting that super-duper resort job.
