Skier Candide Thovex skied waves in Basque Country and Surf Snowdonia in Wales

Legendary freeride skier Candide Thovex has been skiing in Wales – would you believe – riding the waves at Surf Snowdonia.

Using a customised pair of Faction skis and full skiing kit rather than a wetsuit or board shorts, the three-times X-Fames Gold Medallist and Freeride World Champion has been making waves (excuse the pun) across social media yet again with his latest stunt. The Frenchman also went wave-skiing in Basque Country in France, in a stunt that was first pulled off by Cody Townsend and Mike Douglas in Hawaii, towing in on jetskis for Salomon TV.

Candide’s latest stunt, for his “Ski The World” series with Audi, proves yet again that this magician can pretty much ski anything — grass, leaves, sand, volcanic ash…there seems to be no end to his talents.
