Ski-Lifts believes the traditional transfer will become a thing of the past

A ski transfer business has launched a carbon neutral transfer service in the Alps for skiers concerned about the environmental impact of their travel.

Ski-Lifts, which was last week named World’s Best Ski Transfer Operator for the second year running at the World Ski Awards, is offering Tesla Model X four-wheel drive electric vehicles on its transfers from Geneva and Chambery airports. The cars, which are charged using 100% renewable energy sources, will be used on transfers to the main resorts in the Tarentaise including Val d’Isère, Tignes, Les Arcs and La Plagne.

“We are delighted that we are now able to offer this new service and believe it is the future for transfers to ski resorts,” said a company spokesman. “We hope to be able to offer this environmentally-friendly airport transfer to other resorts in the Alps soon.”

Ski-Lifts is also offering transfers to and from London airports of Heathrow, Gatwick, Stansted, Luton, Southend or London City. Skiers travelling to the Alps can book a door-to-door service to be collected from their home, delivered to an airport, collected at their destination and delivered to resort.
