Cervinia’s weakest link upgraded
Plan Maison, Cervinia
The one remaining weakness in Cervinia’s lift system has been removed with the installation of a smart new six-pack.
The new Pancheron lift opens up a slicker link to slopes around Plan Torrette and to the Cretaz sector, on the skiers far right as you approach the main resort from the mid-station area at Plan Maison.
The new chair replaces the Torrette and Alpe Giomen lifts above the Cretaz fast chair – upgraded a few seasons ago – and improves access to some long red run descents and off-piste opportunities.
Most of Cervinia’s main lifts are now fast chairs or gondolas; only a few relics remain such as the very slow double chair to Colle Cima Bianche.
