If you’re in London this week, head to the Clapham Grand on Thursday night for a complete ski fest.

Sub Zero events is bringing the International Freeski Film Festival to the UK for the first time, showing five different ski movies across three screens, with on-stage interviews with the pros as well as stalls, a raffle and après-ski partying.

The five films are Superproof inc - The Recruitment (the film won best editing at the iF3 Awards), Armada - Oil and Water (introduced by Kim Boberg, Jacob Wester and Mike Hornbeck), Sweetgrass Productions – Afterglow (which won best cinematography and best short edit at the iF3 Awards), Clayton Vila – Five and Faction - Episode 3 (introduced by Dan Hanka).

The evening, which runs from 6.30pm to 1am, includes a raffle to win six day passes at Whistler Blackcomb and a seven-night stay at the Westin Hotel Whistler, Atomic skis, a £50 Ellis Brigham voucher. There are stalls by Fat Map, Atomic, Faction, Mojo clothing, On the Lip and The Ski Show, as well as an after party hosted by the Snowboxx Festival with alpine drinks, shots and beer pong.

Sub Zero Events are even offering attendees a free cab home using the code ‘subzeroevents’ with Uber. Sounds like a great night out to us – just sad none of the WTSS team live in London! Tickets cost £14 from subzeroevents.com
