Mouthwateringly delicious ... and the snow too!

Do you prefer yours plain, milk or white? – white preferably, if you fancy combining a chocoholics trip with some chic Italian skiing.

Cortina in Italy will host an unusual event this December: Eurochocolate ski. Sounds irresistible!

Eurochocolate is an international exhibition and one of Italy’s most prominent festivals. It began 15 years ago in Perugia, and was last season hosted in Switzerland. But this winter it is coming to the slopes ...

In 2010 the event will take place in a mountain resort for the first time, combining lots of different chocolate-themed events – of course including ski races. Highlights will be the cake slalom and various on-mountain events. In the resort, there will be tasting sessions, curling with chocolate and a chocolate market.

When you’ve gorged yourself on samples from all those events, pop up to one of Cortina’s cosy huts and, er, relax with a steaming mug of hot chocolate!

Cortina is a classic resort for off-slope activities, whether active sports or passively strolling around the chic shops. Between 16 and 19 December, visitors can enjoy all those things with a chocolate twist.

Will it be Lindt, Milka or Nestle ...

Selected resorts of the Dolomites are now expected to open on 13 November. For Cortina, that will mean the Faloria area. This winter’s visitors will also benefit from a new quad chairlft in the Tofana area, for speedier access to the slopes there.
