Courchevel offers free ski day

Fresh tracks in La Rosière earlier this week
It’s dumping all over the Alps at the moment — we’ll post this week’s snow report later today — and resorts are gearing up to open.
Courchevel has had so much snow it is opening a couple of its lifts for free on Saturday, 23 November. Earlier this week the tourist office sent out this video — taken from the top of the Combe de Saulire which looks amazing!
The Societé des Trois Vallées has announced the Verdons and Saulire lifts will be open giving access to the Verdons and Combe de Saulire. The resort opens properly next weekend, 6 December.
La Clusaz (above) is opening early this weekend, with lifts in the Balme area open on Saturday 23 and Sunday, 24 November from 9am to 4pm.
Above is a snap we were sent from La Rosière taken earlier this week, by ESF director Simon Atkinson, who has clearly been enjoying some fresh tracks before the seasons starts.
And ski instructor Warren Smith posted this picture from his hotel in Cervinia this morning — snow, snow, glorious snow!
