Think you could sleep at 2,740m in the French Alps? If so, read on.

The ski resort of Courchevel in the Three Valleys has teamed up with accommodation website Airbnb to offer four people the chance to spend the night in the Saulire cable car, which will be transformed into a flat for one night only on 6 March.

The winner and three friends — or family — will be taken up to the Saulire peak by snowmobile after the lifts close, and treated to a fondue dinner and a one-night stay in the cable car. Breakfast will be served in the morning, but if the competition winners are keen skiers they’ll be able to take the first fresh tracks down to Courchevel in the morning.

The competition also offers travel to and from Courchevel — including international flights if required. You have to be able to stay there on 6 March.

If this sounds like your kind of night, you have until 11.59pm on 25 February to enter the competition. All you have to do is click on the competition listing on airbnb.com and tell the panel of judges from Courchevel and Airbnb in 100 words why you’d like to win.

“The winner will be chosen entirely on merit, based 70 per cent on originality and creativity of the submission — does it surprise and delight — and 30 per cent on spirit — how does your submission relate to the mountain?” says Airbnb.

Adeline Roux, director of Courchevel Tourism, said: “We thrive on challenge and take pride in opening up new possibilities.”
