Courchevel is launching a new black piste this winter — a run called L’Eclipse that will be the men’s racetrack for the 2023 Alpine World Ski Championships.

The new L’Eclipse piste will be one of the longest and most challenging in the Courchevel ski area. Following the route of the Jockeys track, the run has a 970m vertical drop over its 3.3km length and an average incline of 30%, According to Courchevel, it already been recognised as one of the top three most demanding slopes on the world circuit.

L’Eclipse will start at the summit of Col de la Loze (2,234m) ending on a run through the trees to finish in Praz at 1300m
