Crystal adds Trysil for this ski season

Crystal Ski Holidays has added the family-friendly resort of Trysil in Norway
Ski tour operator Crystal has added the family-friendly resort of Trysil in Norway to its programme for the coming ski season.
Trysil is Norway’s largest alpine resort, with 71km of pistes over four different but interconnected ski areas — and long runs of up to 4km each. Known for its uncrowded pistes, Trysil has won awards for its family skiing with large children’s areas on both sides of the mountain.
Trysil’s four interconnected ski areas, spread around the conical Trysilfellet, each has their own unique characteristics. Høgegga has seven steep black slopes, Skihytta a new high-speed chairlift to the red, blue and green slopes and Turistsenter with excellent nursery slopes and Høyfjellssenter, which is perfect for beginners. Freestylers and snowboarders can head to the Parken Trysil snow park with different areas for different abilities, right up to the resort’s largest jump, Night’n. Trysil
Trysil usually opens in November and stays open right through to the end of April, and Crystal will be offering two-hour direct flights from London Heathrow, Gatwick, Manchester and Edinburgh to Oslo. Transfer time to resort is just over two hours and 30 minutes. Nearly all the accommodation throughout the resort is ski-in, ski-out.
Michael Brabin, Crystal’s purchasing manager - “Trysil is Norway’s largest ski resort with reliable snow and a good mix of ski runs – so it’s a great addition to our programme. I’m thrilled that we are able to offer direct flights not just from Heathrow and Gatwick, but also from Manchester and Edinburgh. I’m sure easier access will encourage more skiers and snowboarders to check out for themselves how good the skiing is in Norway, and also enjoy other winter activities like dog sledding, night skiing, horse sleigh riding, tobogganing and star gazing.”
Prices from £530 per person for a week’s bed and breakfast at the Park Inn Hotel in Trysil, with direct British Airways flights and airport transfers. A week’s stay at the Park Inn Apartments costs from £350 per person (four sharing). Prices are based on 8 January 2017 departure flying from Heathrow to Oslo.
