Crystal launches Guide to the Mountain

Crystal Ski Holidays has launched its Guide to the Mountain for winter 2018/19
No sooner is the 2017/18 ski season over than Crystal Ski Holidays has launched its Guide to the Mountain for winter 2018/19.
Rather than the traditional tour operator brochure, the 60-page guide to the mountain offers inspiration for readers looking to decide where to go for their next ski or winter holiday. Along with features on ski destinations, there are expert suggestions on the best ski resorts for families and beginners, as well as the best places to eat, drink, party and ski. There is a new insider tips section, with expert advice on how to get a great deal, find solo holidays, what to expect if you travel to the snow by train and where is best to go for early or late season skiing.
Crystal managing director Chris Logan: “Last year we made an ambitious decision to change from a traditional tour operator formatted brochure to a travel-style slopeside guide. We asked our customers for their feedback and they liked the new approach as it serves their needs better and it also complements the website, they said”.
Crystal’s Guide to the Mountain gives recommendations on where to eat, drink, party, ski and stay in the Three Valleys; discusses why Italian cuisine is about more than just pasta and parmesan; presents a guide to Austria’s ski areas and new connected resorts and even explains where to find Art Nouveau, Art Deco, Brutalist themed and cutting-edge architecture in ski resorts. It also features a guest blog about experiences from a skier who has cerebral palsy.
Crystal offers a choice of 118 destinations in 13 countries, departures from 23 UK airports (A-S: Aberdeen to Southampton) as well as from St Pancras and Ashford rail stations. With more than 1,100 properties in the programme and a range of accommodation in each of the destinations including almost 50 chalets this forthcoming winter, Crystal offers more choice than any other UK ski operator.
The winter 2018/19 Guide to the Mountain can be ordered or viewed online, alternatively picked up in the Crystal store in the indoor snow centres at Braehead (Glasgow), Castleford, Hemel Hempstead, Manchester, Milton Keynes and Tamworth.
