Sun Peaks offers the second-largest ski area in Canada

Crystal Ski Holidays has added Sun Peaks Resort in British Columbia, Canada, to its programme for next season — which is on sale now.

Now offering the second-biggest ski area in Canada (next to Whistler), Snow Peaks receives as average of nearly six metres of dry, light snow over its 4,270 acres of terrain .
Crystal’s purchasing director Gordon Ritter commented: “Featuring Sun Peaks is long overdue, after all we are talking about Canada’s second largest ski area with a great snow record and terrain to suit all abilities.  Access is easy, a one-stop flight from London via Kamloops and a 45-minute transfer.”

The longest run in Sun Peaks is nearly 8km (five miles) and the resort has 12 lifts (three high-speed quad chairlifts, two quad chairlifts, one triple chairlift and six surface lifts). Cross-country skiers have the choice of almost 40km of groomed and 17km of backcountry trails. The Rockstar Energy Terrain Park is a 10-acre park with distinct zones for all abilities.

“This new and exciting partnership with Crystal Ski Holidays is a significant development for Sun Peaks Resort and gives us great exposure in a valuable and important international market,” says Darcy Alexander, general manager at Sun Peaks Resort.

A sample price for a week’s stay at the three-star Nancy Greene’s Cahilty Lodge in Sun Peaks is from £966 per person (based on two sharing) with Air Canada flights from London Heathrow to Kamloops via Calgary departing on 11 January 2017 and transfers. Save £199 in the special two-for-one lift pass deal (book by 31 August 2016). Visit crystalski.co.uk
