Crystal Holidays has won two prestigious travel industry awards. Last Thursday, 7 November, the tour operator won Best Winter Sports Operator Award at this year’s Scottish Passengers Agents Association Annual Awards 2013.

Crystal was voted for the award by members of the SPAA, the world’s oldest travel organization. It was presented at a ceremony in Glasgow to Susan Allan, Trade Sales and National Account Manager Crystal Ski Holidays.

‘We would like to thank everybody who voted for us’ said Susan. ‘With over 130 ski resorts in 13 countries worldwide, a great range of accommodation on offer and direct flights from Edinburgh and Glasgow airports, we are confident that we have the best winter sports product in the marketplace’.

Two weeks ago, Crystal Ski won Best Overall Ski and Wintersports Operator at the 2013 British Travel Awards. The announcement was made on 31 October at a Halloween Night Gala Awards Dinner in London attended by nearly 1,000 travel industry people.

Crystal Ski Holidays has 30 years’ experience of providing ski holidays in Europe, North America and Japan, has previously won the British Travel Award in 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2011. Votes are cast by consumers, not by the travel industry.

“We are delighted to have received this award for the fifth time and I would like to thank everybody who voted for us”, said Ian Davis, product and distribution director at Crystal Ski, who accepted the trophy. “We will continue to innovate our product whilst offering customer choice and range.”

Earlier this week, Crystal Ski Holidays announced it will have a new managing director, Tamsin Todd, who will join the company in January. She replaces Simon Cross, who after three years in the post has become president of TUI Ski and Marine.  Mrs Todd is currently the Global Head of Ecommerce at Betfair. In September, the company launched a brand new look, and drastically redesigned logo.
