Crystal Ski Holidays is going green — with all resort transfers within Switzerland this season by train rather than coach.

Transfers times will be shorter, and Crystal says the change is due to the: “excellent existing Swiss transport system and encouragement from smart customers who were concerned about the carbon footprint”.

Crystal uses flights from all major UK airports, and its company representatives will meet customers when they arrive at the airport to assist them on their train transfer, if needed. Ski holiday prices will remain the same as before and all customers who book before 15 December 2016 will receive a first class upgrade.

Switzerland Tourism spokesman Sara Roloff commented: “The Swiss train transfer is the ideal solution for skiing holidays as the integrated timetables between interregional and regional services on the Swiss network are programmed to meet in the hub of the station, mostly sharing the same platform, to minimise further transfer times.”

Crystal Ski offers a week’s skiing in Grindelwald, Switzerland from 7 January staying half board at the four-star Hotel Derby in Grindelwald from £677 per person (based on two sharing) including flights from Luton to Geneva and first class rail transfers.
