Direct UK flights to Lake Tahoe next year

Preparing for the ski season: early snowfalls in Heavenly this week
Skiing in Lake Tahoe resorts on the California/Nevada border will be much more accessible to British skiers from December 2015 following the launch of direct flights to nearby Reno.
Thomas Cook and Ski Lake Tahoe have partnered to offer the UK’s first ever direct flight service from London Gatwick to Reno-Tahoe in Nevada.
The airport offers a quick transfer of around an hour to a cluster of ski resorts within the Lake Tahoe area, including Heavenly, Squaw Valley, Kirkwood, Mt Rose-Tahoe, Northstar California and Sierra-at-Tahoe.
The twice-weekly flights will operate from 19 December 2015 until 9 April 2016 and go on sale this week priced from £399 return.
At the same time, winter has arrived in Lake Tahoe. Heavenly, Kirkwood and Northstar have received between three and ten inches of new snow, in preparation for their opening weekends later this month.
