Drop the kids into the Dolomites

4th September 2009, by Chris Gill

Do your kids know their ollies from their Alley Oops? Maybe they fancy learning new tricks in a terrain park on their next trip? You could whisk them off to the Dolomites for a ‘Freestyle Day’.
Next winter, resorts in the Dolomiti Superski region will be encouraging interest in their terrain parks with a new initiative especially for children: ‘Drop In Days’.
Twice a week from January 2010, over 20 ski and snowboard schools in the Dolomiti Superski area will run special ‘Drop In’ freestyle days for groups of 12-18 year olds. In park terms, ‘Drop In’ is what a rider is supposed to call out before starting a new line or pipe run, so it’s appropriate for a starter course in park-life!
