easyjet announce new ski route to Åre Östersund, Sweden from Bristol

Bristol’s skiing and snowboarding passengers can now enjoy Swedish snow, due to a new weekly route starting to Åre Östersund which is due to commence on the 9th December.

This new route will be easyJet’s third service to Åre Östersund alongside London Gatwick and Copenhagen.

Åre, which is located in Sweden’s Jämtland province, is a great skiing destination and has numerous skiing resorts for all levels including Vemdalen, Funäsfjällen, Lofsdalen, Bydalsfjällen and Storlien and the trendy and cosy ski resort of Åre.

Åre is known as the alpine heart of Scandinavia, and is only an hour from Åre Östersund airport. The resort offers a unique mountain village atmosphere, the ultimate combination of skiing including some of the best downhill skiing available in northern Europe, alongside entertainment and the effortlessly cool Swedish lifestyle. Although skiing is the most popular winter activity in the region it’s plenty of other activities including cross-country skiing, ice skating, snowmobile safaris, dog sledding, ice fishing, horse riding, ice climbing and paragliding.

Fares start at, £36.70 - One-way, including taxes and based on two people one the same booking.
