Get ready to book your Eurostar tickets to the French Alps — sales for the ski train open tomorrow (31 July).

The train runs directly from London St Pancras to the French Alps, offering easy access to Courchevel, Val d’Isère, Meribel, La Plagne, Tignes and Les Arcs via stops at with stops at Moûtiers, Aime-La-Plagne and Bourg St Maurice. From 19 December to 11 April there will be two services a week, departing London on Friday evening and Saturday morning. Tickets have not increased from last year and start at £149 return.

A new stop in Geneva will be added to an increased Swiss service this winter. Eurostar says it will announce more details at the end of September but plans to run the service on Mondays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays every week beginning in December.

The Swiss ski train service was launched in 2012, but last season only ran on Saturdays over five peak weeks in the season including Christmas, New Year and February half term. It leaves from St Pancras or Ashford to Vallorbe, Aigle, Martigny, Visp and Brig — ideal for ski resorts including Verbier, Zermatt and Saas Fee.

Tickets go on sale tomorrow morning at eurostar.com or call 08432 186 186.
