In April last year travel firm First Choice announced that it was to sell all of its holidays on an “all inclusive” basis from 2012. But this will now not apply to their ski division, which will be incorporated into its sister Crystal and Thomson winter holiday programmes – meaning First Choice Ski will no longer exist.

The decision to go “all inclusive” means that every First Choice holiday will include flights, transfers, accommodation, three meals a day and unlimited drinks as a standard – a major change in the travel market and a new direction for the company. And one that should prove extremely popular among travellers looking for affordable summer holidays. These new holidays will be available from May 2012.

But while the company had offered the all-inclusive idea to a limited number of winter holidays, it was considered too ambitious to apply the concept to all of their ski holiday programme. Therefore the decision was made to migrate all First Choice properties into the Crystal and Thomson Ski brands. So, from next winter season these two big names will also include former First Choice properties.

All three holiday brands form part of the TUI Travel group. First Choice’s former charter airline was amalgamated with Thomson Airways a few years ago.
