Rudechalets is a specialist chalet operator to the French Alps, but is opening its first hotel accommodation this winter, in Morzine. The company, run by couple Helen and Chris since 2003, has teamed up with Hotel Crozat in Morzine to offer quality accommodation at sensible prices. Guests to the hotel can enjoy a central location, pool, sauna, games room and bar - as well as the funky ‘rude’ style that the company promotes (a youthful, trendy outlook that includes wifi, X-boxes, MP3 docking etc in the rooms). Another asset is that all the guests will have access to Rudechalets’ own Burton Snowboard Test Centre - so mostly appealing to boarders looking for somewhere smart but affordable for their holidays. Prices for the new hotel start at £469 per week and include transfers and flights, as well as half board lodging.

Also in Morzine-Avoriaz, ladies can sign up for the ‘rudegirls’ snowboard week, which takes place from 9th to 16th January. For January 2011 included is a day’s mountain hosting with a Burton Sponsored girlie rider, an après ski ice skating soiree and an exciting Ariel 7 sponsored GARMIN challenge.  Prices start at £699 pp/pw, including transfers, ensuite accommodation, half board, Avoriaz lift pass; Burton Snowboard rental, plus tuition with ex-world Champion Angel, and much more (such as workshops and yoga evenings).

Rudechalets operates four chalets: three in Morzine and one in Chamonix - newly offered this season, with a fully catered service and minibus to and from the lifts. Chalet Chocolat comes equipped with lots of gadgets and a 10-person outdoor hot-tub. Another common feature to Rudechalets is the specialist snow art adorning its property walls, so you might spot limited edition prints from Burton too.
