With Christmas and New Year’s days falling on a Sunday this year, Lagrange holidays has introduced a few flexible incentives for those skiers planning to hit the slopes during that week. These include short break options – very tempting if you can’t spare a week and fancy a quick festive fling with the snow.

The offers are eight and nine nights for the price of seven, flexible arrivals and four-day weekends. With flexible arrivals, guests can choose whether to start their week on a Friday, Saturday, Sunday or Monday over Christmas and New Year. For example, Christmas at a two bedroom apartment in Les Montagnettes Cimes & Vallon in Belle Plagne is £2630 per apt per week from Friday 23 December to Friday 30 December.

In addition to the flexible days, an extra two nights is possible at selected properties too, paying just the seven night price. Chalet apartments in Courchevel are available for eight nights from £3270 per apt over New Year, while you could get away the week before Christmas and choose La Rosière from £1521 for a family one-bedroom apartment (departing on 16 December and arriving home on Christmas eve – book this deal before 31 October and there’s a £150 saving.)

If you feel guilty about jetting off for a week at Christmas without visiting family members, or can’t spare the holiday from work, three or four night breaks are a good compromise. Lagrange is offering a couple of choices that are handy for Geneva: Chamonix and Morzine. Both are hotels and include a New Year dinner with the Morzine option.
