Tickets go on sale today (20 February) for winter 2020/21 Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) flights from London to Scandinavian Mountains Airport. The brand new, privately-owned airport offers speedy access to Sweden and Norway’s largest ski resorts, Sälen and Trysil.

The direct SAS flights to the brand new airport, which began earlier this winter will operate from 26 December 2020 until 3 April 2021. Scandinavian Mountains Airport is within Scandinavia’s largest winter destination close to the Norwegian border. It opened last year and offers a fast 10-minute transfer to Sälen and a 40-minute transfer to Trysil.

Accommodation is bookable directly through Skistar.com, but a growing number of UK tour operators including Crystal and Ski Safari also offer holidays to the ski resorts.

“We are pleased to have started and are looking forward to flying to Sälen and Trysil from the United Kingdom again next winter,” says SAS press officer Freja Annamatz.

“Short travel times and an attractive timetable in combination with fantastic opportunities to ski in the Swedish and Norwegian mountains are something that hopefully continue to attract many Britons.”
