Klagenfurt Airport is in the south of Austria, near the Slovenian and Italian borders and handy for lots of ski resorts.

It has teamed up with Easyjet and two of the leading ski resorts in southern Austria (Schladming and Nassfeld) to offer free airport transfers for people who want to make a low-cost fast ski trip to the Alps this winter.

Easyjet flights from Gatwick to Klagenfurt cost from just £11 and skiers can be on the slopes within two hours of landing at the airport.

The airport, which prides itself for speed and getting people through it fast, has teamed up with leading hotels in each resort to provide free transport directly to the hotel worth over €200 return (or approximately £170).

That means that parties can choose between stays of three nights (Saturday to Wednesday), four nights (Wednesday to Saturday) or a week. Currently, you can book a four-nights’ stay with half board from £348 per person.

Just book your flight and when you contact the hotel to make your booking quote “Special offer: free transfers from Klagenfurt Airport”. They’ll arrange the transfer.

See free transfer offer for more information.

The airport is working with hotels in Bad Kleinkirchheim and anticipates being able to add them to the free transfer offer soon.

Other resorts are within easy reach too, as you can see from the map above.
