Fancy a new outfit this season? One that no one else has? Crystal Ski holidays has teamed up with Avalanche to give three lucky skiers and snowboarders the chance to win a bespoke jacket for themselves and a few mates.

The winners can design their own jacket — but they need to prove they deserve it. For a chance to win, upload a picture of yourself in your worst gear to Crystal’s social media channels – facebook, twitter or Instagram, with the hashtag #skimakeover before midnight on 1 December.

“The winning skiers and boarders will have the chance to work closely with one of our designers and see their jacket made from start to finish,” said Leanora Jones-Parry from Avalanche.

The competition is to celebrate Crystal Ski’s own makeover — its 700 mountain-based employees have a new-look uniform for the first times since 2005.

The new green, purple and black ski jackets and pants have been designed and produced by Avalanche “to bring to life the expert and fun personality of Crystal in the teams who will wear them in the resort”.

Love it or hate it, as said Crystal overseas director Nikki Hooper said: “One thing’s for sure, they certainly won’t blend into the background.”

The previous skiwear has been donated to four charities:  ‘Entraide Internationale des Scouts’ in France - who sent the clothing to Burkino Faso, Armenia and the Ukraine to keep people warm – as well as Crocce Rosse (Red Cross) in Italy, to Cold Climate Relief charities in Austria and in the UK to Disability Snowsport UK.
