Here’s an event not to be missed if you have a passion for powder, and the means to indulge it on adventures by helicopter or snow cat.

Winter sports company Total Heliski is hosting the first event dedicated to heli- and cat-skiing, with tour operators from around the world showcasing their holidays and powder experiences.

The Total Heliski Show is coming to London on Tuesday 26 October, and at a swanky five-star venue, with the option to heliport in – should you wish to arrive in style.

They’ll be plenty of talks, movie footage, gear advice and the chance to meet the experts in backcountry operations. Ten top ski resorts are being featured, along with guest speakers from the world of snow. Chemmy Alcott and Graham Bell are expected to be there, along with Kenton Cool – the UK’s leading high alpine mountain guide.

The evening takes place in the swanky surroundings of London’s new 5-star hotel, the Verta, overlooking the Thames and the city Heliport; the hosts will serve drinks and canapés too – not quite your average ski show then. Heliski Show partner Ellis Brigham will be on hand with equipment advice and you can also take part in a charity raffle.

This show is a unique and specific event, designed to appeal to those already familiar with backcountry adventures – or serious about having a go and want to know more.

Former downhill racer Graham Bell said: ‘I’m really looking forward to meeting like-minded individuals who have a passion for heli-skiing. The London Total Heliski Show is just the right place to find new locations to heli-ski and plan your next mountain adventure.’

The event starts with networking drinks at 6pm, followed by the show at 7.15pm. Tickets cost £70 (inclusive)
