Great news for skiers: Kitzbühel and Dolomiti Superski have joined the Ikon Pass

Ikon Pass — the mega ski pass that offers access to ski resorts across North America — has added the Dolomiti Superski in Italy and Kitzbühel, Austria to its list, now offering up to 21 days of skiing in the Alps.

The Ikon Pass, mainly bought by skiers in the US, offers access to the likes of Aspen, Jackson Hole, Revelstoke and Alta in North America. It is also valid in Niseko in Japan, plus resorts in Australia and New Zealand (inaccessible to the rest of the world with current Covid restrictions) as well as Zermatt in Switzerland. In all, there are 47 destinations in nine countries.

The pass includes seven days’ skiing in Kitzbühel and seven days in Dolomiti Superski — home to 12 different resorts including Cortina d’Ampezzo, Val di Fassa, Alta Badia and Arabba. It is currently on sale for $1049 (around £725) which is worthwhile if you’re planning to ski for more than three weeks this winter in any of the areas covered on the pass.

Whether or not you buy the Ikon Pass, the news of this collaboration between ski resorts on both sides of the Atlantic is yet more positivity before the start of 2021/22 ski season, following last year’s winter beingentirely wiped out by the Covid pandemic.
