Inghams opens Chalet Hotel in Champoluc

The new Inghams Chalet Hotel Champoluc is in a virtually ski-in/ski-out location

Inghams is to open a Chalet Hotel in Italian ski resort of Champoluc this winter.

The four-diamond Chalet Hotel Champoluc is set at the skiers’ end of the village centre, in a virtually ski-in/ski-out location at the foot of the home-run piste, next to the main Crest gondola and ski-hire shop.

The largest village in the Monterosa ski area in the Val d’Aosta region, Champoluc is beginning to emerge as a favourite on the British market. Long the preserve of specialist tour operator Ski-2, Champoluc was last year offered to British skiers by Ski Total, which is owned by the same company as Inghams.

Chalet Hotel Champoluc, which sleeps between 70 and 90 guests, is a brand new chalet to Inghams, as is the resort. The Monterosa ski area enjoys an upper altitude of 3,000m, with snow-sure, generally un-crowded skiing on its 180km of pistes. Champoluc shares the ski area with Gressoney and Alagna.

There isn’t a better location in the entire resort, right next door to the main Crest gondola, with the home-run piste virtually to the ski-room door. And inside, it has a proper traditional mountain feel to the restaurant, lounge and bar, and spacious en suite bedrooms throughout – essentially it ticks the boxes perfectly for what the majority of Inghams skiers are looking for, and we are hugely excited to be adding such a gem this winter.”

Inghams is offering 7 nights, half-board chalet catering at the four-diamond Chalet Hotel de Champoluc from £525 per person. Price includes return flights from London Gatwick to Turin and resort transfers (regional airports also available).
