The SKI plus CITY Pass offers access to 13 ski resorts around Innsbruck

The Austrian city of Innsbruck has launched a new lift pass that allows skiers to access 13 ski areas as well as to enjoy the sights around the historic city. The SKI plus CITY Pass offers access to 308km of pistes in 13 different ski resorts — one of which can be accessed by a lift directly from the city — as well as 22 sightseeing experiences around the city.

Innsbruck describes itself as the Capital of the Alps, and is surrounded by mountain peaks at the heart of the Tirol region — including the Stubai Glacier, Kühtai and Hochoetz as well as Muttereralm and Bergeralm. It is growing in popularity among skiers looking for a short break with minimum travelling, as well as those looking for a city getaway with museums, historic sites and other attractions, along with plenty of culture and nightlife.

The new SKI plus CITY Pass can be booked for between two and 21 days, with a five-day pass costing €230 for adults, covering 13 resorts and the use of their ski bus services along with Innsbruck’s sightseer hop-on/hop-off bus. Individual resort passes will continue to be available too.

As well as skiing, among the 22 sightseeing experiences covered by the pass include the Imperial Palace, Ambras Castle, the Swarovski Crystal World, the Bergisel Olympic Ski Jump Tower and the bell foundry.
