It’s mini-me! A little look at Whistler

3rd January 2011, by Chris Gill

Got that back to work feeling? Give the paperwork, meetings and endless coffee a miss for a few minutes and indulge in a little clip from Whistler to brighten the day.

The Canadian resort has produced a ‘day in the life of…’ video, which turns a big ski resort into a little one – well, it’s filmed in a style of cinematography that makes everything appear in miniature form. So, it’s the model village in bird’s eye view; tiny people on tiny skis moving at warp speed. Everything from the buses to the powder is filmed, in quick time motion to show the amount that goes on during an average winter’s day.  XXS was filmed, edited and produced by Switchback Entertainment and was inspired by stop motion & tilt shift photography techniques. It’s a clever piece of work.

Enjoy a break, enjoy a little Whistler ...
