Jones takes X-Games gold

Slopestyle action in Aspen
Britain’s Jenny Jones has won the Slopestyle event at the Winter X-Games in Tignes.
Jones finished with a score of 92.33 in Friday’s final, having been a strong contender for the title right through the elimination rounds. Her score put her way ahead of the nearest rivals and the Briton took her second Slopestyle gold of the season.
Jones had already successfully defended her 2009 Winter X-Games title, with a win in Aspen in January.
The Tignes Winter X-Games is taking place in Europe for the first time this season. The French resort will host all the high-flying action into the weekend, with the men’s event still to come as well as the Superpipe challenges.
