Kids go free in Villars

Villars-Gryon is to open the season with a family weekend special, which should save you heaps if you’re tempted to whisk the kids off to the snow before Christmas.
In addition to the usual free ski passes for the under-nines (which Villars will continue to offer during 2009/10), the resort will also include free tuition, equipment hire and lunch up the mountain. What’s more, parents will also be able to take advantage of lower prices on the same items.
The season starts on 12/13 December, with various events lined up for all the family. This year, Villars has invested in promoting “clean energy sources” and wellness: new wellness facilities at the Eurotel Victoria and Hotel du Golf are due to open and the bowling centre is expected to reopen following renovations.
