Kids skiwear rental service launched in France

A rental service for kids skiwear is entering its second winter in the French Alps
A rental service for kids skiwear is entering its second winter in the French Alps. Les Petits Montagnards offers a wide choice of skiwear for children aged between one and 16 years for between €45 and €65, with shipping and cleaning included.
Les Petits Montagnards offers quality, warm and waterproof garments from brands such as Rossignol, Burton, Roxy or Quiksilver, Haglofs as well as a range of accessories including gloves, goggles and snow boots.
Minimum rental is three days, with outfits delivered directly to your accommodation in the French Alps in environmentally friendly, reusable cloth bags with a prepaid return package for you to send the outfit back at the end of your holiday. Ski outfits can be delivered directly to the homes of customers who live in France.
“Why should we spend so such on expensive ski outfits for only few days a year?” says Nancy Massoulier, a mother who quit her job to set up this business. “I live with my husband and two kids in Haute-Savoie, and when friends and family come to stay we of course lend them all the stuff they need – jackets, pants, gloves and so on.
“So we thought, why not to offer such services to other people who want to go skiing? Why not provide them all the equipment they need?”
Renting kit for families that are growing fast not only saves money on the purchase, says Nancy, but also on luggage — not everyone will need a suitcase in the hold if you rent in resort.
Les Petits Montagnards also offers skiwear for adults, from brands including Columbia and Rossignol, with the price for a one-week rental starting at €75.
