Kuhtai to share lift pass

Two small resorts near Innsbruck are to share a lift pass from this winter, giving access to 78km of slopes and some of Austria’s most snow-sure skiing away from the glaciers.
Kühtai has announced a joint multi-day lift pass with the nearby Hochoetz ski area, above the village of Oetz. The new pass will give access to 23 lifts and 78km pistes, as well as the half-hourly bus service between the two resorts. It is available for two days (60 euros) or more. So, you could combine the two areas as part of a city-ski or short break visit to the Innsbruck area.
Kühtai is just 25km from Innsbruck and offers around 40km of slopes, of mostly intermediate red runs. It’s a quiet but high village (2020m), with a few smart hotels, bars and restaurants. Hochoetz is similarly sized but lower, with a varied mix of blue and red runs. The bus from Kühtai drops you at the Ochsengarten gondola - but there is also access to the ski area from Oetz village.
Alternative passes if you are touring the Innsbruck area include the Ötztal super ski pass (covering five resorts - including Sölden) or the Innsbruck Glacier Ski Pass (covering nine resorts around the city).
