Destination of more après-ski parties than we can fathom, the team behind La Folie Douce is travelling to the UK next month to bring a bit of its unique magic to Bodos Schloss in Kensington.

On Thursday 13 and Friday 14 November La Folie Douce will launch the winter season when its cabaret dancers and alpine waitresses take over the Austrian après-ski bar and restaurant Bodos Schloss for a party both inside and out. La Folie’s in-house restaurant, La Fruitière, will also head to Kensington to offer Londoners some regional French cuisine.

In return, Bodos Schloss is taking its venue to Val d’Isère for an end-of-season blow-out at the end of March.

“It’s really important to share the Folie Douce experience and know-how around the world, especially in the UK where the snow sports and mountain culture is so strong,” said Luc Reversade, who founded La Folie Douce 30 years ago in Val d’Isère.

The chain has since opened in Val Thorens, Méribel and, in 2013, in Alpe d’Huez – and will this season bring its special brand of high-altitude open-air clubbing to Megève in the former Espace Montjoux restaurant, at the top of the new Mont Joux chairlift overlooking St Gervais at 1,958m.

Tickets will be available for the Folie Douce/Bodos Schloss mash-up on Thursday 13 November for £10 from facebook.com/BodosSchloss
