La Thuile in Italy has introduced a transferable lift pass to help young couples with a baby in tow.

Little bambinos can mean parents juggling their ski time and perhaps not getting the full benefit of their weekly lift pass. So, La Thuile’s new option allows parents with a child up to three years old to share one pass.

The family ski pass is available from three days to a week and can be purchased on proof of family status. It costs 254 euros for 7-days and covers the slopes at La Rosière. For comparison: the standard weekly pass for one adult costs 200 euros!

Another point worth noting this season is that lift pass prices in the resort have been held at the 2008/09 prices.

La Thuile opens on 28 November 2009, with the French side joining in from 12 December. Both resorts stay open until 25 April.
