Les 2 Alpes launches Outdoor Festival

Les 2 Alpes will turn into an outdoor adventure Mecca next month
The world’s best slackliners will converge on the French ski resort of Les 2 Alpes next month, in an attempt to break the slacklining world record during the resort’s brand new, high-octane Outdoor Festival.
The festival will run from 22 to 25 June, featuring every type of outdoor activity you can think of doing in the mountains — from mountain biking (by day and night), slacklining, trail running, skiing and snowboarding (on the glacier), yoga, paragliding, golf and much more.
The festival is for pros and amateurs — so visitors can watch and try out as many outdoor activities as they want in a friendly, unpretentious festive atmosphere.
The world’s best slackliners will be in Les 2 Alpes to try to break the highline world record during the Outdoor Festival, with a 2km line above the resort suspended between Les Crêtes and Vallées Blanche, both at 2,100m. Slacklining means walking along a suspended length of flat webbing that is stretched between two points.
There are several types of lines: a slackline is above the ground, a waterline is above water, a highline is stretched between two high points, and a jumpline is for doing acrobatics above the ground. For all types of lines, you need very good balance.

There are 100km of mountain bike tracks to explore by day and night with endure races and an MTB Moon Party, and three different trail running competitions — from 1,500m with a 500m climb to an experts-only 35km race with a vertical ascent of 2,750m.
As if that wasn’t enough, the Paragliding Pre World Cup will take place in Les 2 Alpes from 22 to 25 June, and between 80 and 100 professionals will fly at the same time to give an incredible show.
A visitor pass for this incredible festival is just €45 for the weekend — providing access to all the activities and competitions. For more information, visit les2alpes.com
