Norwegian has added two new low-cost flights to the US, which will further help reduce the cost of ski trips to North America this coming ski season. Norwegian will be flying into Chicago and Austin, Texas, from £179 and £239 respectively, adding to its routes into Oakland (San Francisco) in California and — from this autumn — Denver in Colorado.

While the Chicago and Austin routes offer limited options to British skiers, the flights to Denver and Oakland are slashing prices on US ski holidays from British tour operators.

Paul Russell, Ski Solutions product manager told Where to Ski and Snowboard: “The new low-cost air routes from Norwegian Air to Denver and Oakland offer a great value flight option and shaves around £150 per person from the cost of holidays meaning the resorts of Winter Park, Vail, Breckenridge and Heavenly offer even better value for money and are a brilliant alternative to their European counterparts.”

And Ski Safari has also slashed £150 off some of its prices compared to last season, taking advantage of the new Gatwick-Denver Norwegian flight. For example, a 14-night holiday to Copper Mountain, Colorado, will now cost £1,925 per person (departing 21 January) compared with £2,075 last season.
