A new chalet company has started up in Morzine, complete with its own cameraman to film your antics on the slopes – if you wish. It’s a bit different but we think it will catch on as a great idea.

Hugski Holidays belongs to British couple Lucy and Hugo Pilcher, who will feature their chalet Alpazure this winter. Hugo is not only a qualified ski instructor, but also a professional cameraman. He will be offering guests the chance to have their skiing or boarding filmed while out on the slopes, providing an edited copy to take home. To add to the fun even further, you could re-create ski scenes from a favourite movie (remember Bridget Jones in Lech?) and Hugski will film you in the role.

‘It gives us the ability to stand out in a highly competitive market’, says Lucy Pilcher, ‘The filming opportunity coupled with wholesome meals is something special. Hugo and I are thrilled to be launching Hugski Holidays’.

The pair are experienced seasonaires and love fine food, so are thrilled to be running their own business. Chalet Alpazure is located in Montriond – a short walk from Morzine central and near the lifts to Avoriaz. The chalet sleeps 14, with south facing balconies and spacious bedrooms. The lounge is equipped with a bar and Nintendo Wii. Hugski will also help to arrange those skiing extras, such as lift passes and ski rental fittings.

Low season prices start at around £350pp (based on April departures) and include full catered chalet service and minibus to and from the slopes. It does not include flights or transfers.
