Mammoth to stay open into August

Mammoth Mountain is continuing its bumper ski season into August this year
The ski resort of Mammoth Mountain in California has announced it will stay open for skiing and snowboarding until August.
After what has been a record-breaking winter of snowfall, Mammoth will be able to stay open for even long this year than its usual 4 July season end. In January, Mammoth Mountain in the Sierra Nevada was officially the snowiest resort in North America, with 6.25m of snow falling in a storm, and counting.
There is a reduced lift service than during the winter months, however. Canyon Lodge and Eagle Lodge are now closed for the season, with lift-accessed skiing and snowboarding available at Main Lodge and The Mill base areas – with lifts open from 7:30am to 2:00pm. The day-to-day lift updates can be found at mammothmountain.com
Day tickets are currently priced at $71 if you purchase on the day, but buy in advance and save up to 40%.
