The French ski resort of Megève will this year join the Mont Blanc Unlimited Ski Pass — giving skiers and snowboarders access to nearly 1,000km of skiing in three different countries.

The Mont Blanc Unlimited Ski Pass covers 998km of skiing in Chamonix (unlimited), Verbier (50% off the price of one day pass each week), Courmayeur (unlimited), Les Contamines and St Gervais (both unlimted), as well as many different excursions and activities within the resorts — such as a visit to the cinema in Chamonix.

The pass costs €293 (£210) for six days for adults, reduced to €249.10 (£179) for children aged four to 15 and adults between 65 and 74. Veteran passes (for over 75s) cost €146.50 (£105) for six days, and a family pass for two adults and one child cost €835.10 (£600).

The collaboration has come about after Compagnie du Mont-Blanc, which owns and operates the lift system in Chamonix, bought a majority stake in the Megève lift system.

Compagnie du Mont Blanc stated in a press release: “[We are] proud to announce officially the acquisition of a majority shareholding in the company managing the Megève – Mont d’Arbois ski lift system (SRMM). Megève town council and the Rothschild group, both historic partners in the latter company, remain as important shareholders.”
