Almost back-to-back ski shows at the moment … with the British Ski and Snowboard Show kicking off in Birmingham this Friday 29 October.

Here’s a reminder that the Daily Telegraph British Ski and Snowboard Show will be touching base at the NEC (National Exhibition Centre) for three days of snow-filled fun and games: over 130 companies representing resorts and tour operators worldwide, action from the Big Air spectacular, inspiring winter films and talks, have-a-go opportunities on the ice wall or skills slope, and more.

Plan your next adventures among the world’s best resorts – the shows are a unique opportunity to speak directly to representatives who live and work in the ski areas, especially if you seek independent travel advice too.

You could make an appointment with the boot doctor to sort out those fitting niggles, or chat to the experts about getting a job in the mountains. Plus, check out the latest new kit in tech camp and maybe pick up a bargain holiday.

New this year is the Adventure Film Festival; the place to catch up on movie action, hot off the camera for the new winter season. The Talk Arena will focus on ways to get the best out of your trips to the snow, whether you’re heading out for the season, taking a road trip or looking for off-piste advice. So, watch out for Henry’s Avalanche Talk or Graham Bell putting you through your fitness regime.

Tickets are available from £7 (Friday, on-the-door special) or £12 on Saturdays / Sundays. And iPhone fans might like to download the ski show’s free app – available from 28 October, and with all the latest action, deals and news.
