Next week the ski resort of Morzine in France is running “Morzine loves Women” week to coincide with International Women’s Day next Wednesday, 8 March.

Each day of the “Morzine loves Women” week (from Monday 6 March to Friday 10 March) is packed with workshops and activities designed to appeal to women from yoga to hand-massage, sophrology and Reiki to chocolate and perfume-making. There are also fitness classes from Fitball to Zumba, in the Palais des Sports.

On Thursday evening a gentle snowshoe walk is planned, with sunset aperitifs and on Friday morning, 10 March, the ski slopes will be opened at 8am for women — an event that will be free of charge.

The workshops last between one and two and a half hours, and cost from €10 for a one-off workshop to €25 for four — skiers can book sessions at the Morzine Tourist Office. Children are welcome but must be over 10 years old to join in the activities.
