Day out in Verbier?

Day out in Verbier?

Why settle for one classic resort, when you can day trip out to another? Chamonix has introduced a new bus service to Verbier, as part of the Swiss resort’s recent inclusion on the Mont Blanc Unlimited lift pass – although the bus journey itself is not free.

The new bus service runs every Thursday, departing at 8am from Chamonix Sud and arriving at Le Châble at 9.45am. From there you take the gondola up to Verbier’s Medran area, and onward into the main lift system.

Pick-ups along the route include: Chamonix railway station, Cham centre, Flégère, Argentière and Vallorcine. The return bus leaves Le Châble at 5 pm, which means you can enjoy a full day skiing in Verbier and be back home in Chamonix in time for dinner. It costs 22 euro per person and runs dependent on a minimum of 30 people.

As well as the Verbier route, bus services have been increased on the existing day trips to Courmayeur this winter too. There are now five services per day (it used to be three). The Courmayeur bus, unlike the Verbier route, is included for free with the Mont Blanc Unlimited pass (or you can pay to use the service separately).
