The luxury hotel group Six Senses is to open a property in Kitzbühel, its first resort in the Austrian Alps.  The announcement comes hot on the heels of the news that Six Senses is to open a property in the Swiss ski resort of Crans-Montana (Read more here).

The 80-room ski-in, ski-out Six Senses Kitzbühel Alps at Pass Thurn will open in 2020, and operate all year round. As well as the hotel, there will be 50 residences and a selection of chalets available for purchase, as well as two restaurants and a spa with café.

The ski resort of Kitzbühel itself offers 209km of slopes and is home to the famous World Cup downhill run the Hahnenkamm which sits directly above the largely car-free medieval town. The resort gets Where to Ski and Snowboard’s highest rating for fast lifts — read our independent review of Kitzbühel here.

Six Senses Kitzbühel Alps will open at the same time as its property in Crans-Montana, in 2020.
