The resorts sharing a ski area with Madonna di Campiglio, are about to debut a new fixed-grip quad this winter.

The new lift is due to open above Marilleva on 23 December, following successful tests. It is a fixed-grip chair, but faster and more comfortable than its predecessor.

The Val Panciana - Dos de la Pesa chairlift serves the Dos de la Pesa slopes above the Italian resort, and with access to Marilleva’s only black run – which descends to the 1400m base area.

The new lift is one part of a big development for the whole ski area, which was also meant to see the links with Pinzolo (on the Madonna side) opened this winter. These have been delayed one more season. Marilleva’s new quad should at least improve access to that sector.

Five other lifts in the resort are due to open for the season on 26 December.

Marilleva and Folgarida are gradually becoming better known in their own right, as resorts in the Val di Sole, and with a stronger tour operator presence this winter (Crystal, for example)
