More ski brands include RECCO

More than 800 ski resorts around the world are equipped with RECCO system detectors
Nine new ski and snowboard equipment brands are to include RECCO reflectors in their products next year — joining the list of 200 already using the technology.
RECCO refloctors are permanently attached and requires no training or batteries to function. They are always “on”, and while they do not take the place of an avalanche transceiver, the reflector emits a signal that will enable professional rescuers to faster locate and rescue victims caught and buried by avalanches using a hand-held RECCO detector.
Mountain rescue teams in more than 800 ski resorts around the world are equipped with RECCO system detectors — which are particularly useful if the skier or snowboarder involved in an avalanche is not wearing an avalanche transceiver.
Marmot (apparel), Head (helmets), Pret (helmets), Cebe (helmets), Arva (back protectors), Beal (climbing harnesses), Cairn (helmets), NuDown (apparel) and Isbjörn (apparel) will include RECCO reflectors next year.
