Several new regional flight routes have been announced for the upcoming ski season to Chambery and Grenoble, both airports that offer easy access via shorter transfer times to a host of popular ski resorts in France. It’s good news for the coming winter, after a number of flights and routes have been lost due to the Covid pandemic.

Jet2.com will now be flying from Bristol and Leeds to Chambéry Savoie Mont Blanc, offering short transfer times to some of the best ski resorts the French Alps has to offer — including Paradiski, Les Trois Vallées, Espace Killy and many more. Jet2.com is also flying from Birmingham, Manchester and London to Chambéry this season, and British Airways is operating a CityFlyer service from Southampton and London City.

There are also three new ski routes from the UK and Ireland to Grenoble Alpes Isère airport — from Liverpool, Luton and one from Dublin.

Wizz Air will fly from Luton to Grenoble from 7 December, easyJet is opening a route from Liverpool starting 5 December and RYANAIR is flying from Manchester and London Luton while also putting on a second flight from Dublin for the 2021/22 ski season.

Grenoble Alpes Isère offers short transfer times to the likes of Alpe d’Huez, Les 2 Alpes, Chamrousse and Vaujany. The new flights bring the number of routes from the UK and Ireland to 11 this coming winter — from easyJet, BA, Jet2, Wizz and RYANAIR.
